Happy Thanksgiving!

We traveled down to Peggy & Tom's for turkey day this year. Chris had to work and with them moving and unpacking Veronica stayed home with Brooke and Hailey came along with us. The drive there went well, Hailey and Mirella both slept the entire way!! We got there early so we could hang out and relax with Peggy and Tom a little while. Uncle Mike, Jay, Cara & Sophia, and Mom arrived al ittle while after us.

We ate some YUMMY food and the babies were perfect angels during dinner time! It was good to see spend time with family and see little Sophia. Her and Mirella sound EXACTLY the same when they talk. It was so cute to see them interact with babbles. Poppa came for dessert after dropping Ann off at the airport, so that was a nice surprise! I was hoping he'd stop by for a little while. Mirella enjoyed hanging out with him for a little bit.

We drove home and Mirella is in this weird stage where she screams while driving in the dark. SO! Needless to say the drive home wasn't too fun. Luckily she didn't cry for too long and fell asleep.

The Saturday after Thanksgiving, my mom and uncle Mike came up for a 2nd Thanksgiving dinner with Chris, Veronica, Hailey and Brookie. They wanted to come see thier new house so we figured might as well do turkey again since Chris and Veronica missed out! It was a fun day! And TONS of left overs!! YAY!!!

I had the week off work last week, it was sooo nice! But back to work this week. Tony came down with a cold Saturday and is starting to feel better today. Mirella has had a stuffy nose since Monday night, and I started getting a sore throat last night, and today I feel yucky and my sore throat is worse. Hopefully we all get back to normal soon!

Mirella seems to be teething, she's real fussy, chews on EVERYTHING, and drools all over. She messes with her ear once in a while and I've read that stuffy noses can also be a sign of teething. So I think we may see a tooth here in the next few weeks! I will be sure to get photos of it when it arrives!

She LOVES to sit and play in her exersaucer and throw pacifiers and toys on the floor over and over and over. She loves to jump in her jumperoo when cousin Hailey jumps with her. And she really loves to talk and make silly giggles all day long. She's a really happy baby! I've been very lucky!

She still tries to roll over but her arm gets stuck, but she's learning to pull it out now. I haven't fed her much on solids since she didn't really seem interested in it. I do give her some banana once in a while though, she reallllly loves that! I think I'll get more serious about solids after our cruise to Mexico. We'll work on some veggies.

Today Mirella tried some rice cereal! She seemed very interested but wasn't sure what she thought of the food, she made a lot of funny faces. She's been trying to grab my plate, fork, cups lately, pretty much anything I'm holding and putting in my mouth. She also has been waking more at night to eat, as well as eating a lot more often during the day. So I figured it was time to give cereal a try. I will give her a little more in a few days. I wanted to wait until she was 6 months old to start, but she seems ready now and she's just a week shy of 5 months. My big growing girl! She talks a lot now, very loudly! Grabs her feet and plays with them. Has learned to turn her crib aquarium on and off. Laughs and smiles all day long. Lovessss watching and laughing at the dogs and tries to grab/pet them and giggles when they lick her hand. Here is her first eating solids experience.

Family Reunion 2008!

I keep meaning to post about the family reunion we went to a few weeks ago. It was at Peggy and Tom's house and was so much fun! We had all of the cousins together at the same place and the same time FINALLY!!! It's going to be such a blast watching them grow up together! It seemed like everybody enjoyed them as entertainment. 4 months old!!! WOWIE!!!

I can't believe my little baby girl is already 4 months old! She had her 4 month appointment this afternoon. She's doing great!!! She's 13lbs 2oz now, and 2 feet long!!!! Yay for a growing healthy baby!

She had her 2nd round of shots today and did okay. I felt so bad though because she was looking at me and smiling all happy then she got shot #1 and her face instantly changed to crying, then shot #2, poor girl. Her next appt is in December for her 6 month check up and more shots! Right before our Mexico cruise with Tony's work! :)

The pediatrician said no worries about starting solids right now since she is growing just fine, but I can start them if she starts to wake up at night. I'm excited to see her reactions to food though.

I got her a walker a few weeks ago she really loves to sit in it and play. She doesn't really "walk" yet in it but has pushed herself backwards a few times on accident!

Mirella is giggling more and more and here are a couple short video's of her sweet little laugh. Apparently the dogs are quite funny to her!

Mirella is 3 months old!!

Time is SURELY flying by now! It's weird, I feel like she was a teeny tiny baby just yesterday, but at the same time I feel like I've had her forever!!!

I officially quit my day job last Monday to be a stay at home mommy to Mirella. I do not know how we'll get by yet, but my heart was telling me to stay home. I decided to follow my heart. I have faith it'll work out somehow. Fingers crossed!

Mirella didn't have a doctors appointment this month, so I don't know her exact weight and length, but she's about 12 lbs when I weigh her here at home. Big girl!!! She's smiling all the time and occasionally laughs, which is sooo much fun to watch! She's learning to roll over, she did it once when she was really mad and just pushed herself over. We're practicing it daily. She loves to talk though, it's the cutest thing! I need to get it on video to share with you all.

We're super excited about the family reunion next weekend. Mirella can't wait to meet everyone else in the family and see her cousins again!!! Should be a very fun day!!!
