Fooooood!

Today Mirella tried some rice cereal! She seemed very interested but wasn't sure what she thought of the food, she made a lot of funny faces. She's been trying to grab my plate, fork, cups lately, pretty much anything I'm holding and putting in my mouth. She also has been waking more at night to eat, as well as eating a lot more often during the day. So I figured it was time to give cereal a try. I will give her a little more in a few days. I wanted to wait until she was 6 months old to start, but she seems ready now and she's just a week shy of 5 months. My big growing girl! She talks a lot now, very loudly! Grabs her feet and plays with them. Has learned to turn her crib aquarium on and off. Laughs and smiles all day long. Lovessss watching and laughing at the dogs and tries to grab/pet them and giggles when they lick her hand. Here is her first eating solids experience.

Family Reunion 2008!

I keep meaning to post about the family reunion we went to a few weeks ago. It was at Peggy and Tom's house and was so much fun! We had all of the cousins together at the same place and the same time FINALLY!!! It's going to be such a blast watching them grow up together! It seemed like everybody enjoyed them as entertainment. 4 months old!!! WOWIE!!!

I can't believe my little baby girl is already 4 months old! She had her 4 month appointment this afternoon. She's doing great!!! She's 13lbs 2oz now, and 2 feet long!!!! Yay for a growing healthy baby!

She had her 2nd round of shots today and did okay. I felt so bad though because she was looking at me and smiling all happy then she got shot #1 and her face instantly changed to crying, then shot #2, poor girl. Her next appt is in December for her 6 month check up and more shots! Right before our Mexico cruise with Tony's work! :)

The pediatrician said no worries about starting solids right now since she is growing just fine, but I can start them if she starts to wake up at night. I'm excited to see her reactions to food though.

I got her a walker a few weeks ago she really loves to sit in it and play. She doesn't really "walk" yet in it but has pushed herself backwards a few times on accident!

Mirella is giggling more and more and here are a couple short video's of her sweet little laugh. Apparently the dogs are quite funny to her!

Mirella is 3 months old!!

Time is SURELY flying by now! It's weird, I feel like she was a teeny tiny baby just yesterday, but at the same time I feel like I've had her forever!!!

I officially quit my day job last Monday to be a stay at home mommy to Mirella. I do not know how we'll get by yet, but my heart was telling me to stay home. I decided to follow my heart. I have faith it'll work out somehow. Fingers crossed!

Mirella didn't have a doctors appointment this month, so I don't know her exact weight and length, but she's about 12 lbs when I weigh her here at home. Big girl!!! She's smiling all the time and occasionally laughs, which is sooo much fun to watch! She's learning to roll over, she did it once when she was really mad and just pushed herself over. We're practicing it daily. She loves to talk though, it's the cutest thing! I need to get it on video to share with you all.

We're super excited about the family reunion next weekend. Mirella can't wait to meet everyone else in the family and see her cousins again!!! Should be a very fun day!!!

2 1/2 months!

Looks like she's had a rough day of eating, sleeping, and pooping!

Little Mirella just keeps on growing! It seems like she's doing something new everyday or at least every week. It's so exciting!! But at the same time so sad...she's really growing fast! Too fast!

As you probably all know by now (and after seeing my last post) that the 2 newest members of the family arrived last Tuesday the 19th...THE SAME DAY! It was a very very exciting day to say the least! Brooke Elise and Sophia Jane are adorable little babies. I am looking forward to watching them grow up with Mirella and seeing the trouble they get into. I can't wait to see them again!

Mirella has really started coo'ing (I like to call it talking) a lot lately, and she has also really started holding her head up very well when on her tummy.She also enjoys bath time very much, and I threw in some mini duckies the last few baths and she enjoys kicking the water when they touch her feet.
